If you’re consistently understimulated, then you might have ADHD.

If you’re consistently overstimulated, then you might be a Highly Sensitive Person.

If you waver between overstimulation and understimulation, depending on the environment and the day – sometimes feeling both at once in different parts of your body – and it’s so all-encompassing to figure out what’s happening inside you and what to do about it that your brain sometimes doesn’t bother to notice and interpret social cues like body language, tone, and unspoken expectations…

… then you might be autistic, like me.

P.S. I write from my personal experience as an autistic. What I share is not a substitute for advice from an autistic medical professional. Also, some of my opinions have changed since I first wrote them.
